a safe and efficient highway system. To
remain one of the safest highways
in the nation, construction is necessary.

 When
traveling the 641-mile* superhighway,
motorists are encouraged to remain
alert and be aware of bright orange
signs indicating areas of roadwork.
Reduce speed and use extra caution
when traveling through work zones.
In addition to planned projects, lane closures also may be required
for emergencies, maintenance, repairs and inspections. Please drive alert
at all times.
*Operating length includes I-84. I-84 is maintained by the Authority, under contract with DOT.
