THRUWAY AUTHORITY SEEKS PUBLIC INPUT ON ALBANY CORRIDOR
Public Invited to Comment On Future of Capital Region Thruway at February 24 Public Meeting

The New York State Thruway Authority is conducting a study of the Albany Corridor, between Interchanges 21A (Berkshire Connector) and 25A (Schenectady, I-88) in Albany and Schenectady Counties. The Authority is again seeking public opinion at an open meeting, which will be held Tuesday, February 24, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Beltrone Living Center in Colonie.

Authority representatives will give formal presentations at 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. to outline the improvement concepts that have been developed as part of the Corridor Study thus far. Authority representatives will be on hand for the duration of the meeting and be available for informal discussions as well.

The purpose of the Thruway Authority's Albany Corridor Study is to develop a prioritized Capital Improvement Plan that addresses structural, safety, and operational needs within the Corridor for the next 20 years to support the regional growth of the Capital District.

For more information about the Study, or for meeting directions, information or special needs accommodations contact the Authority's Department of Planning Services at (518) 436-2703 or visit www.thruway.state.ny.us and select "Albany Corridor Study." In addition to the public meetings, this Website can also be used to provide comments or feedback regarding the Study.
