THRUWAY AUTHORITY SEEKS PUBLIC OPINION ON ALBANY CORRIDOR
Opportunity for Public Education and Input on Future of Albany-area Thruway at June 17 Meeting

The New York State Thruway Authority is conducting a study of the Albany Corridor, between Interchanges 21A (Berkshire Connector) and 25A (Schenectady, I-88) in Albany and Schenectady Counties. The Authority will seek public opinion at two open meetings.

The first public meeting will be held Tuesday, June 17 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Beltrone Living Center in Colonie. Authority representatives will give formal presentations that outline the current condition of the Corridor and the areas where improvements are necessary. Authority representatives will be on hand for the duration of the meeting and available for informal discussions as well.

The purpose of the Thruway Authority's Albany Corridor Study is to develop a prioritized Capital Improvement Plan that addresses structural, safety, and operational needs within the Corridor for the next 20 years to support the regional growth of the Capital District.

For more information about the Study, or for meeting directions, information or special needs accommodations contact the Authority at (518) 436-2703 or visit www.thruway.state.ny.us and select "Albany Corridor Study."
