THRUWAY AUTHORITY ANNOUNCES REDESIGN OF WILLIAMSVILLE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT WEBSITE
The New York State Thruway Authority today unveiled a newly designed, user-friendly website for the Williamsville Improvement Project. The updated site is now up and running and can be accessed at www.thruway.state.ny.us/williamsville.
The Thruway Authority, in conjunction with the Federal Highway Administration and DOT, is conducting a study to address operational and capacity concerns at the existing Williamsville toll barrier, said Thruway Authority Executive Director Michael Fleischer. The newly designed website will enable visitors to easily access information pertaining to the Williamsville project, as well as provide important contact information should customers have additional questions.
In redesigning the Williamsville Website, the Authority has made the site easier to navigate, allowing those interested in the project to locate the information theyre looking for more easily.
While the Authority is currently working to update the text and add new features to the site, a Newsroom section has been added to replace the old Newsletter section. The Newsroom will be used to highlight items of interest relative to the project, such as The Benefits of Highway Speed E-ZPass.
Computer-generated images of Highway Speed E-ZPass, now found on the project Website, depict renderings of future Toll Barrier configurations, where dedicated Highway Speed E-ZPass lanes pass between east and westbound staffed Toll Plazas, allowing E-ZPass customers to electronically pay their tolls while traveling at highway speeds.
Customers interested in contacting the Authority with comments, suggestions and feedback can use the Contacting the Thruway Authority form located on the Contact page.
