Traffic Advisory: Thruway Authority Announces Two Right Southbound Lanes on Tappan Zee Bridge Blocked Due to Multi-Vehicle Accident
Motorists Are Encouraged to Plan for Delays
The New York State Thruway Authority announced that two right southbound lanes on the Tappan Zee Bridge are currently blocked due to a multi-vehicle accident.
Motorists are encouraged to plan for potential delays, to watch for slow and/or stopped traffic and to seek alternate routes, if possible.
The Authority has activated its Highway Advisory Radio (HAR), Dynamic Message Signs (DMS), and issued a TRANSalert to subscribers to advise motorists of the lane closures.
The lanes will be reopened as soon as conditions safely permit.
The Authority appreciates motorists' patience during this time.
