Thruway Authority Announces All Westbound Lanes Reopened Between Interchanges 39 (Syracuse, Fulton, I-690, Route 690) and 40 (Weedsport)
Motorists Should Expect Residual Delays in Both Directions
The New York State Thruway Authority announced all westbound lanes at milepost 304.0, located between Interchanges 39 (Syracuse, Fulton, I-690, Route 690) and 40 (Weedsport) have been reopened. Earlier today, both the eastbound and westbound lanes were closed at this location due to an accident involving several tractor trailers. As a result, motorists may still experience residual delays in both directions.
During the closures, the Authority activated its Dynamic Message Signs (DMS), Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) and issued a TRANSalert to subscribers to advise motorists of the lane closures.
The Authority appreciates motorists’ patience during this time.
