Traffic Alert: Thruway Authority Announces Truck Fire Along I-84 Eastbound

The New York State Thruway Authority has announced that a truck fire along I-84 eastbound near milepost 31.8 between Exits 5 (Maybrook - Walden - NY 208) and 6 (Montgomery - Newburgh - NY 17K) has closed the eastbound lanes.

State Police and the Fire Department are on the scene at this time.

Lanes will be reopened as soon as conditions safely permit.

The Authority has activated its Highway Advisory Radio and has issued a TRANSalert to subscribers to notify them of the incident and resulting delays.

The Authority appreciates motorists' patience during this time.
