Traffic Alert Update: Thruway Authority Announces Truck Fire Along I-84 Eastbound

The New York State Thruway Authority has announced that all eastbound lanes along I-84 near milepost 31.8, between Exits 5 (Maybrook - Walden - NY 208) and 6 (Montgomery - Newburgh - NY 17K), have been reopened.

The eastbound lanes at milepost 31.8 had been closed earlier this morning due to a fire involving a tractor-trailer.

The Authority had activated its Highway Advisory Radio and issued a TRANSalert to subscribers to notify them of the incident and resulting delays.

The Authority appreciates motorists' patience during this time.
