Thruway Authority Announces Restaurant and Restroom Services To Be Temporarily Unavailable at Plattekill and Modena Travel Plazas
Fuel Services Will Remain Available to Motorists

The New York State Thruway Authority announced that restaurant and restroom services will be temporarily unavailable at the Plattekill and Modena travel plazas beginning at 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 until 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 due to repairs on a water valve. Fuel services will remain available to motorists.

The Plattekill Travel Plaza is located northbound between Interchanges 17 (Newburgh I-84) and 18 (New Paltz), at milepost 65.

The Modena Travel Plaza is located approximately southbound between Interchanges 18 (New Paltz) and 17 (Newburgh I-84), at milepost 66

Northbound motorists are advised that the next available travel plaza with restaurant and restroom services is the Malden Travel Plaza, located approximately 32 miles north of the Plattekill Travel Plaza, between Interchanges 20 (Saugerties) and 21 (Catskill), at milepost 103.

Southbound motorists are advised that the next available travel plaza with restaurant and restroom services is the Ramapo Travel Plaza located approximately 33 miles south of the Modena Travel Plaza between Interchanges 16 (Woodbury Toll Barrier) and 15A (Suffern Rt. 17N), at milepost 33.

The Authority will activate its Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) to advise motorists that restaurant and restroom services will be temporarily unavailable.

The Authority appreciates motorists’ patience during this necessary repair.
