Thruway Authority Announces All Lanes Closed on I-87 Northbound Near Interchange 5
Motorists May Experience Delays

The New York State Thruway Authority announced all northbound lanes are temporarily closed at milepost 2.4 which is located between Interchanges 5 (Yonkers, Central Park Ave, Route 100) and 4 (Yonkers, Cross County Parkway) on I-87 due to a serious personal injury accident.

State Police and emergency crews are at the scene.

Motorists that are familiar with the area are advised to take alternative routes and should expect delays.

The Authority has activated its Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) to advise motorists of the closure.

The Authority apologizes for any inconvenience and will reopen a lane as soon as conditions safely permit.
