Thruway Authority Announces Lanes Reopened on I-87 Southbound Between Interchanges 24 and 23

The New York State Thruway Authority announces that all southbound lanes between Interchanges 24 (Albany, I-90, I87, Montreal) and 23 (Albany-Downtown, I-787, Route 9W) have been reopened.

The left and center southbound lanes were temporarily closed earlier due to an accident involving several vehicles.

The Authority offers a free email service called TRANSalert to its customers via email or text messaging to inform them of major unscheduled incidents that may affect their travel on the Thruway.  To sign up for the TRANSalert service, customers can visit the Authority’s website at www.nysthruway.gov/tas/.
