Thruway Authority Announces Pothole Repairs on Tappan Zee Bridge to Necessitate Southbound Lane Closures
Motorists May Experience Delays
The New York State Thruway Authority has announced that pothole repairs on the Tappan Zee Bridge will necessitate the closure of two right southbound lanes beginning at 10:30 a.m. today, Wednesday, April 16, 2008. It is anticipated the lanes will be reopened at 11:30 a.m.
Motorists are may experience delays and are reminded to remain alert, reduce speed and be aware of their surroundings while traveling through the work zone.
The Authority has activated Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) and Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) to advise motorists of the closures.
The Authority appreciates motorists’ patience and understanding while this necessary work takes place.
