The New York State Thruway Authority has announced that as part of a major fuel service renovation project that will occur at all travel plazas operated by Sunoco, Inc. (R&M) the following travel plazas are scheduled to begin renovations on March 10, 2008: Clifton Springs Travel Plaza, located on I-90 eastbound between Interchanges 43 (Manchester) and 42 (Geneva), at milepost 337; and Sloatsburg Travel Plaza, located on I-87 northbound between Interchanges 15A (Suffern Rt. 17N) and 16 (Woodbury Toll Barrier), milepost 33. The renovation projects scheduled at Clifton Springs and Sloatsburg travel plazas are expected to be completed by Memorial Day.

Fuel renovations at Pembroke and Ulster travel plazas are also scheduled to begin later this month and are expected to be completed by Memorial Day. Information regarding the start dates at the other travel plazas will be made available as soon as the dates have been finalized. Additionally, no fuel renovation projects are scheduled during the peak summer travel season between the Memorial Day and Labor Day holidays.

Sunoco, Inc. (R&M)’s development plan for the fuel renovations at all travel plazas is phased over a two year period and is scheduled to be completed during 2009. The renovation projects include, but are not limited to, tank replacements at two sites, several new convenience stores, new fueling islands, canopy renovations and environmental upgrades.

Several signs will be posted along the Thruway mainline prior to the locations where fuel is available to inform motorists of the fuel outages.

The fuel service renovation projects scheduled to begin on March 10, 2008 are outlined below:
