Thruway Authority Announces Oneida and Junius Ponds Travel Plaza Fuel Stations Temporarily Closed for System Upgrades
Restaurant and Restroom Services will Remain Available
The New York State Thruway Authority announces that the fuel services at the Oneida Travel Plaza, located eastbound just prior to Interchange 32 (Westmoreland, Rome), will be temporarily unavailable on Wednesday, December 12, beginning at 9 a.m. to perform upgrades on the computer systems. This project is expected to be completed by 4 p.m.
Motorists are advised that the closest eastbound travel plazas prior to and after the Oneida Travel Plaza are approximately 40 miles away.
The fuel services at the Junius Ponds Travel Plaza, located westbound just prior to Interchange 42 (Geneva, Lyons), will be temporarily unavailable on Wednesday, December 19, beginning at 9 a.m. to perform upgrades on the computer systems. This project is expected to be completed by 4 p.m.
Motorists are advised that the closest westbound travel plazas prior to and after the Junius Ponds Travel Plaza are approximately 25 to 30 miles away.
The restaurant and restroom services at both travel plazas will remain available throughout the duration of this work.
Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) will be placed before the Oneida and Junius Ponds Travel Plazas notifying the public that fuel will be temporarily unavailable.
The Authority appreciates motorists’ patience as this project takes place.
