Thruway Authority Announces Traffic Stoppage Near Interchange 30 (Herkimer) on December 6
Motorists May Experience Moderate Morning Delays

The New York State Thruway Authority today announced that a utility installation project near Interchange 30 (Herkimer, Mohawk, Route 28) at milepost 220.0 will necessitate a traffic stoppage in both directions Thursday, December 6, 2007, between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. which is expected to last up to 10 minutes, weather permitting.

The Authority will utilize a rolling stop, while the utility company completes the installation project over the Thruway. In the event of inclement weather, the work will take place Friday, December 7, between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) will be activated to alert motorists of the stoppage and any delays that may occur.
