Thruway Authority Announces Accident on Tappan Zee Bridge Southbound
All Southbound Lanes are Closed Due To Multi Car Accident
The New York State Thruway Authority announces that all southbound lanes on the Tappan Zee Bridge, milepost 15.0, are temporarily closed due to a multi car accident. Lanes will reopen as soon as conditions permit.
Motorists traveling through the area should expect delays.
State Police are on the scene and emergency vehicles are en route.
Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) and Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) will be activated to advise motorists of the closures.
The Authority appreciates motorists’ patience during this incident apologizes for this inconvenience.
