THRUWAY AUTHORITY ANNOUNCES LANE CLOSED ON I-190 SOUTH GRAND ISLAND BRIDGE

The New York State Thruway Authority announces that the left southbound lane on the South Grand Island Bridge on I-190 has been temporarily closed due to an accident caused by icy weather conditions.

State Police and emergency crews are on the scene and the lane will be reopened as soon as conditions permit.

Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) and Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) have been activated informing motorists of the lane closure.

The Authority appreciates motorists' patience during this incident.
