THRUWAY AUTHORITY ANNOUNCES ALL NORTHBOUND LANES REOPENED NEAR INTERCHANGE 17(NEWBURGH, I-84)

The NYS Thruway Authority has announced that all lanes northbound at milepost 55.0 have been reopened to motorists. The northbound lanes were reopened at approximately 12:30 a.m.

All lanes had been closed due to a vehicle accident earlier in the evening at approximately 11:30 p.m.

Milepost 55.0 is located between the Woodbury Toll Barrier and Interchange 17(Newburgh, I-84).

The Authority had activated its Highway Advisory Radio and Dynamic Message Signs to alert motorists of the lane closure.

The Authority appreciates motorists patience during this time.
