THRUWAY AUTHORITY ANNOUNCES ALL NORTHBOUND LANES CLOSED NEAR INTERCHANGE 17(NEWBURGH, I-84) DUE TO VEHICLE ACCIDENT 

The NYS Thruway Authority has announced that all lanes northbound at milepost 55.0 have been closed due to a vehicle accident.

Milepost 55.0 is located between the Woodbury Toll Barrier and Interchange 17(Newburgh, I-84).

 State Police and emergency crews are on the scene and will reopen at least one of the lanes northbound as soon as conditions permit.

Motorists are advised to plan for delays northbound approaching the area.

The Authority has activated its Highway Advisory Radio and Dynamic Message Signs to alert motorists of the lane closure.

The Authority appreciates motorists patience during this time.
