THRUWAY AUTHORITY ANNOUNCES MULTIPLE ACCIDENTS ON I-190

The New York State Thruway Authority announces that the left and center southbound lanes on the I-190 near Interchange 4 (Smith St) are temporarily closed due to a multiple vehicle accident.

The center lane southbound on the I-190 near Interchange 5 (Louisiana St) is also temporarily closed due to an accident.

An E-ZPass lane (lane 10) at the North Grand Island Bridge toll facility is also temporarily blocked due to an accident.

State police and emergency crews are on all scenes and the lanes will be reopened as soon as conditions permit.

Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) has been activated informing motorists of the lane closures.

Motorists traveling along the I-190 are reminded to drive with caution due to weather conditions.

The Authority appreciates motorists' patience during these incidents.
