Seasonal Thruway Maintenance Worker Trainee 3

Seasonal openings for Thruway Maintenance Worker Trainee 3 positions are anticipated in the spring. Work locations include Buffalo, Batavia, Rochester, Tonawanda, Silver Creek and Westfield. The Seasonal Program starts in mid April and goes through early November. Seasonal employees are eligible to sign permanent job postings which are the main method of obtaining full-time permanent employment.

Minimum qualifications include:

  • Possession of a Commercial Drivers License Class B with tank endorsement and air brakes
    AND
  • 12 months experience operating construction equipment and/or vehicles
    AND
  • 18 months experience in carpentry, masonry, welding, ironwork or other trade related to bridge construction or repair.
