The New York Division has a vacancy in Nyack.

Duties

The successful candidate would perform journey-level work in maintaining, repairing and operating mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, heating, plumbing and various other types of equipment at all buildings in the Thruway's New York Division facilities. There may be some supervision of helpers and, as required, of other journey-level employees engaged in major repair and maintenance of building equipment.

Qualifications

The candidate must have at least four (4) years of satisfactory HVAC experience under a journey level HVAC trades worker which would provide training equivalent to that gained in an apprenticeship program. It is especially desirable that candidates be experienced in air conditioning installation, repair and troubleshooting. Appropriate Freon certification is required. A CDL-B drivers' license is required and must be obtained prior to the end of probation.

Salary ranges from $14.90 to $21.54 per hour plus night shift differential and location pay.
